One artist has decided nudity and art go hand in hand. Or maybe that’s hand in…well never mind. I’m sure you don’t need me to spell it out.

According to an article on 24HourMuseum.org, Polish-Danish artist Joanna Karolini has a sauna.jpgnew exhibit out. It’s called The Bath is Hot. It’s theme is saunas and their history.

But that’s not the fun part. She’s added a working sauna to the exhibit. And everyone in attendance is welcome to hop in! In the buff naturally. She wants the public to strip down to their bare essentials while enjoying her work.

Says Karolini, “I want to use the space to encourage viewers to come to the gallery to pursue leisure and health,” said Karolini, “and the sauna to be a catalyst for social exchange, discussions and a warm platform where other events can take place.”

Of course! All great social exchanges take place in the nude. In saunas. In public. At least mine do. How about yours?

images.jpgI hate to tell you Karolini but I’m betting a lot of your guests are there to view more than just the art.

It’s actually a novel idea though. Much of great art is of the naked human body. Why not combine real life with naked art?! If more art museums allowed nudity I’d become a gold level member.

If you want to catch her exhibit get your bare bottom over to Belfast (Ireland if you failed Geography) before March 7 of this year.
