When it comes to the art world, nothing is off limits and nothing is too avant garde. Just look at Alena Kupcikova’s work. This talented artistuses public hair in her soul-stirring sketches of nude females.

According to an article in The Prague Post, Kupcikova began these unusual artistic expressions when she was searching for an original gift to give her boyfriend for their anniversary. She decided to trim her own pubic hair and then take the clippings and create an erotic self-portrait. Her boyfriend’s was so thrilled with her gift that he scanned the drawing and e-mailed it to his friends. Reportedly he asked them to guess what it was made from.

Can you imagine receiving that email? Either he’s incredibly mature and sexually open
or all of his friends are frat boys who get off at the mere mention of a naked woman.
He must be mature because his enthusiasm inspired her to continue and the series was born.

As I was reading this..all I could think of was how did she get that much hair? Was it hers? If not, were did it come from? Apparently I’m not the first to ask those same questions because there are pamphlets detailing her experiences in gathering more
hair for her exhibit.

It seems she had willing donors - bless their hearts! A the exhibit there is a photo montage and a video with information on the women who contributed to the project. I’d do it. How cool would it be to have a physical part of you immortalized in art?! Granted
it is your pubes but hey, better than nothing! At least you don’t have to cut off your ear like Van Gogh or do some other crazy artist-type thing!
